Chapter 531: 525: What a Great Momentum – Part 2

At that question, Finn was speechless. One could easily guess that Scholar Lewis had a hand in this. But at this point, could Finn deny it? All he could do was nod, causing Mr. Humphrey’s father to stomp his foot, accuse Finn of having hidden the truth from them, and then leave abruptly, leaving Finn bewildered.

However, looking at it so far, Scholar Lewis seemed to have done a fine job.

“Mr. Finn, we are going ahead. Are you going there tomorrow?” Daniel asked, looking at Finn.

“I have been given some tasks, so I’ll be going tomorrow.” Finn said rather helplessly. Scholar Lewis had assigned him tasks. Meanwhile, Daniel and his group were set to go that night, with a banquet in the evening and the main event at noon the following day. At that point Finn just left everything to Scholar Lewis’s arrangement.

Early next morning, Finn got up and had his breakfast. In accordance with Scholar Lewis’s instruction, he headed to the nearest five-star hotel where Mr. Humphrey’s parents had been staying since the previous night. “This girl knows how to organize,” Ann said, laughing, after Finn got into the car.

“Oh?” Finn raised his eyebrows in surprise. It was rare for Ann to compliment someone directly, at least not in front of Finn.

“Being able to arrange such a grand scene in such a short time is no small feat, even though she had sufficient funding and a little of your influence to help. But even with someone else under your name, it would likely not be easy to pull off such an event, let alone for her – a sophomore in college. She’s capable.” Ann said, smiling.

“It seems you know a lot,” Finn said and laughed, suspecting that Scholar Lewis had sought Ann’s help. Although Ann did not seem to be very prominent on Finn’s side and usually handled minor tasks for Finn, she held significant clout in Celeston City. Anyone with a respectable reputation was bound to be familiar with her.

News traveled fast in this circle, even faster than gossip. Those who could reach a high level in Celeston’s elite circle must know about the Moon of West Lake and its owner. They must also know who that owner was associated with and who provided the things they couldn’t buy regardless of their wealth.

Moreover, Finn himself was recognized as the newly crowned richest man in the world, controlling companies like Graphene CPU, WY, T Co., among others. Could anyone overlook how Great Lewis had bagged so many projects just by virtue of his daughter’s association with Finn? Amazingly, Great Lewis, a billionaire tycoon in the construction industry, was so overloaded with projects he had to outsource part of them!

Despite the lethargic real estate and construction markets in the entire Flame Nation, the profits from such a large project had sparked envy among all property-related businessmen in the Flame Nation. Although they were from different places, the wealthy circle was so tiny that everyone knew each other despite their nationalities.

However, Finn seemed very mysterious from the outside due to his so-called “mysterious background,” and the fact he didn’t mingle much. But that wasn’t the case with Ann, who was virtually Finn’s full-time secretary. Everyone in the circle, or those who provided services to the circle, knew her.

That was why it was easy for Ann to accomplish anything Scholar Lewis asked her to do.

“Well, I do know some stuff. She asked for my help after all. But she’s thought things through very well. At least after this uproar, there won’t be any complaints from the woman’s family. Mr. Humphrey probably won’t be too upset either, and it will save face for everyone,” Ann said, laughing lightly.

“I’m all ears,” Finn said, shrugging his shoulders.

“Channel checking, channel checking, reply received, reply received,” came a signal from the walkie-talkie in the front seat as Finn finished speaking. It was Scholar Lewis’s voice.

“Copy, Channel 1,” Lewis the elder replied, doubling as the driver. Following his reply, others also responded through the walkie-talkie. This scene made Finn laugh out loud, “Wow, this is quite professional.”

“Of course, and there’s more to it,” Ann also chuckled.

Finn’s car quickly pulled up at the hotel entrance. As he arrived, he noticed the grandeur. In the middle stood a stretch Quadriga, probably custom-made, flanked by two standard versions of the same model. Before and after the Quadrigas were Ice Horse cars, at least ten in both rows.

That was just one motorcade; another one was parked by the side. Unlike the former, the new motorcade was consistent in style: ten black Flying Horse G65 cars both leading and following the motorcade. Between them were three cars. The one in the front and another at the back were both from the Goddess of Light series, while the one in the middle was a stretched limousine from the Goddess of Light series.

Recognizing these three cars, Finn shrugged. They were custom-made by Olivia Thatcher for him to cater to a range of requirements including client meetings. The middle stretch limousine was especially handy to have conversations with guests during some receptions.

Clearly, the second motorcade was meant for him. Arriving at the hotel, Finn saw Scholar Lewis waiting at the entrance. The hotel’s General Manager had also come over. He generally visited the hotel only on rare occasions but today’s grand event left him no choice.

Five-star hotels were abundant in Celeston City, but they catered to high-end clientele. Although the staff members were used to seeing elite people, today they were to witness what super lineups and luxury motorcades meant.
