Chapter 356 356: The World Council I

"Stop!…..Please!"

Cole turned to look at who was speaking, a man who looked like he was in charge with his uniform and medals. Cole scrunched his face in annoyance, as he slashed his sword from where he was standing, using [Black Cut]. the man who had shot at him did not have time to even scream before he was cut in two. Cole was making a point, he was a man of his word.

"If anybody attacks me again, then I will pay a personal visit to each an every single member of the World Council and their families, and I guarantee you it would not be a courtesy call. Now all of you can fuck off!" he said to them as he held the gaze of the man that had spoken.

There was steel in his eyes, and unspoken anger but at the same time helplessness.; there wasn\'t ,much he could do about his dead soldiers. Cole didn\'t care, Violence is a language that he has found that he speaks quite well and understands better than anybody. If they wanted to be violent then he would meet and pay them in kind.

"Please Mr Cole, I apologize for this, we might have got off on the wrong foot. I come with a summons and a plea for help from the World Council. I believe the first announcement calling all aspirants to the aid of earth has been sent out. But you are a special case and we were asked to retrieve you.

It is to the folly of some of my colleagues that they had chosen such an approach I apologize on their behalf, and asked that you please put this incident aside and let us deliver you to the world council post haste. I will ensure Reparation are made."Cole took a step forwards and ended up in front of the man.

"I don\'t need your reparations. I\'m sure these men have or had families, give the damn reparations to them. And as for you world Council you tell me where they are, and I will be there when they need to see me." the general, because by this point Cole was assuming he was a general, after all the UN would not be so dumb as to send a lesser ranked soldier to come retrieve him.

Never the less the man looked like he wanted to argue with what Cole had said, but after trying multiple times to come up with something to say he shut his mouth with a click." I will need a few minutes to relay your request to the council. Their location is classified and  on a need to know basis for their own protection. I will inform them and get back to you with a location, please give me ten minutes"

Cole wasn\'t going anywhere, ten minutes he could spare. He turned his gaze to see that the rest of the soldiers still had their guns trained on him, but quite a few of them had frowns on their face and more than half of it was not aimed at Cole but at the back of the retreating general.

Cole could tell what was going on, the fact that he could feel their emotions was just one part of it. They looked bitter, and as the blood of their comrades stained the earth. "He threw you guys under the bus didn\'t he?" Cole asked, but none of the soldiers looked like they were ready to say anything. Cole shrugged, the spike in anger was enough to let him know that he was right.

"I\'m not going to kill anyone that doesn\'t attack me, so perhaps you should clean your friends up, and stop pointing your guns in my direction, it\'s making me jittery, and when I\'m Jittery heads tend to fall of shoulders." that seemed to do the trick as the soldiers put their guns down, while Cole turned to Tehila who had returned.

"What do you think is going? Outside of  the obvious of course?" she asked him, not even caring to whisper as she and Cole conferred.

"I cant be sure, but there\'s politics at play. The World Council sequestering themselves away while the rest of the world burns seems just about right to what those corrupt fucks would do. But never the less if they want to have any hope to deal with the dungeons and the invaders they will need the aspirants.I think you should take a look at

But like I said there is politics at play. Most of the aspirants aren\'t even on the planet. And of those who are on the planet you cant exactly be sure how many of them can actually get shit done. This is our reality, a misstep and that means the person is dead for good, not much would be willing to put themselves at risk, sink or swim as long as they make it to integration, they can make a place for themselves in our new reality."

Tehila nodded to him and stayed  silent till the man came out of the massive truck they had driven here. There were multiple vehicles, particularly SUV s. Everything was blacked out, but not much could be hidden from Cole\'s senses even in his normal form. The general stepped out of the car and walked up to him.

"The World Council has agreed to give you a location where a meeting would be held. Since the arrivals of dungeons is considered a global invasion, securing the lives of our leaders is imperative to avoid the destabilization of our governments and economies. So  they have been kept in a backlight away from prying eyes. It is imperative that we keep this location secure so a remote meeting would be best."

"Very well then, tell us where and when." Tehila said, interrupting Cole before he could tell the General to go shove it. If the damn leaders of their reality could not meet him face to face and ask for his help, then for whatever damn reason would he be the person to go present himself to them. This was supposed to be a democracy, except of course for those on the council that were monarchs.

"The UN Embassy here in the capital has a direct line to the black site that they\'re being kept. You would be able to have a video conference call there with them. We will make sure to escort you to the location. The time frame given was as soon as possible. So if you don\'t mind sir, mam. We can go right now and get this over with so that I can get to burying  my men and telling their wife and kids that they will not be coming home for dinner tonight." Cole nodded his head then added.

"Make sure you you tell their families that it was your fault, make sure you tell them that you sent your soldiers to face off against odds that they could never hope to beat, with no form of diplomacy when diplomacy was in fact necessary. And you did this all while your ass was safe an intact in an SUV with the AC going off at full blast."

The general stiffened, his eyes glistening with un-shed tears, and hate. Cole could care less, he was defending himself. And even if  they could still call him out on being brutal, who.the.fuck.was.going. To.stop.him!  Very few people on earth could match him in terms of strength. Cole was not invincible but he is still considered the most powerful man on earth.

"Morgan bring the car around, we\'re heading for a meeting in the UN, plot a course so that w e can beat the traffic." Cole said, sending a message to Morgan through his neural dome.

"Nope, we will have to make a quick stop at the house, it\'s on the way anyways. The clothes you have on are bloodied, you have to look presentable when you are about to meet business partners. It would help build a good rapport with them you know." Cole chuckled as their car drove over, piloted by Morgan.

"What about the Dungeon? don\'t you need to set some things up, or more like deal with the people and the press and handle all those new soldi- errr residents?" Cole asked as they got into the car.

"Oh we should only be gone for about a few hours. I can still work through a proxy as the head of the construction crew is still there. I will get in touch with him and deal with the rest. Ill have a few of my assistants come down and take a census and put everyone that\'s willing to fall in line into a system so that I can sort them out later. But never the less...what do we do about the Collegium...I was able to see what the dungeon can do....Cole it could change everything." Tehila said breathless, understanding the sheer scope of what Cole had just brought into the world.

The only thing he could say to her about this though was. "I know...I know."
