Chapter 1247 Preparing the Head Start

Chapter 1247  Preparing the Head Start

"Thanks." Nodding at her words in response, the young man made his way to her tables, eventually finding the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction at the place she mentioned.

Storing the tincture into his spatial bracelet after that, he then looked at what Mystia was doing for a bit, prompting a question on the matter to eventually pop up in his mind. "Now that I think about it, what did you do with the tincture, exactly?"

"Used it as a reference," replied Mystia, causing Valyr\'s eyes to widen in surprise as he immediately understood what she meant by that.

"Wait… are you trying to recreate the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction?" asked the young man, prompting the woman to look back at him with a faint smile before tilting her head in slight uncertainty.

"Well… I guess you could say I\'m doing that," replied Mystia as she clarified herself. "Though, if you want me to be more specific, I\'m trying to create my own set of elixirs based on the various tinctures."

"After all, if you look at it from the perspective of maintaining efficacy, the approach it uses is quite handy."

After saying those words, Mystia then gave Valyr a brief explanation of the rewards she got from Scho\'doxa during the tournament, talking about how the man taught her the methods to concoct the elixir in exchange for having lost to him.

"Although it would be a piece of cake for me to concoct the Tincture of Greater Reconstruction right now, I face the problem of sourcing the materials needed to concoct it in the first place," said Mystia with a wry smile on her face. "In fact, it\'s even worse for the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction. I\'d need to head to five different galaxies just to source out the materials needed to concoct it."

"If the materials were at a planet near Veldanyr, then I might have risked it and made the trip." At those words, Mystia let out a faint sigh. "…But even the Tincture of Greater Reconstruction needs me to travel to the edges of our own galaxy for the materials it needs."

"And thus, I\'m trying to adapt the format to create an elixir using local materials," concluded the woman before looking at Valyr with gratitude. "The fact that you allowed me to borrow your tincture for a while definitely helped a lot."

"Honestly thought you\'d ask for it the last time you came here, actually," said Mystia. "To be honest, most of the breakthroughs I\'ve achieved so far have all occurred during the past week you weren\'t here."

"I see." Valyr nodded, mostly glad that Mystia was able to gain a lot from the Rise to Prominence tournament, even though she ended up surrendering to him at the end of the fifth round.

Then again, he did find it odd that she mentioned that only a week had passed since the last time he came to the Mystic Plane.

After all, wasn\'t it supposed to be almost two weeks with the time difference?

"Aside from the tincture, is it fine if I could get a couple more elixirs and potions from you?" Deciding to think that she merely forgot the passage of time because of what she was working on, Valyr brought up his initial request once more.

"What kind of elixirs, exactly?" asked Mystia, her focus still mostly on the work she was doing.

"Something along the lines of Constitution Refinement Elixir, hopefully," replied Valyr after a bit of hesitation. "…Or something like the True Rebirth Pill you gave me."

The first step of the plan Valyr had in mind to give his player a massive head start was to rely on the existence of elixirs that permanently boosted one\'s stats.

At first, he thought of concocting the Basic Reinforcement Elixirs in his current form. After all, with the teachings Mystia gave him in the past, he could be said to be well-accomplished in the world of alchemy.

With that, he\'d be able to more or less match the strength he had in the past at Rank 0, though the focus this time around would lean more towards magic rather than strength.

Though, just as he thought that the next step to his plan was to forge mage equipment for his player self, the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction he\'d yet to use popped up in his mind, prompting him to expand on his plan a bit further.

Because of that, he decided to make it his goal to improve his stats as much as possible while still being at Rank 0, which would expand the selection of classes he had once the time to ascend to a higher class rank came.

After all, if he did all of the other steps he did in the past before he ascended to Rank 1, he was certain that he\'d be able to obtain at least a class at the same rarity as his first blacksmith class, if not rarer.

However, with the fact that his horizons had been widened with the existence of Adam and Eve, as well as the existence of [Soul Fusion], Valyr felt that relying on the Reinforcement Elixir and Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction alone wouldn\'t be enough.

And so, he decided to try his luck, asking Mystia if she could spare some of the elixirs she\'d given him back then. After all, a great portion of the reason why he could reach an absurd level of power was all thanks to her concoctions.

Fortunately for him, it didn\'t seem like his attempts at asking for more elixirs would be rejected from the get-go.

"What would you need them for?" asked Mystia with a raised eyebrow, her focus now entirely on him. "You\'ve consumed those elixirs already, no?"

"Well…" Scratching the back of his head at those words, Valyr quickly came up with an excuse. "I was planning to give them to someone, actually."

Seeing her frown at his words in response, it did not take long for him to realize that his words could be easily misinterpreted to mean something else.

With that, the young man forced the gears in his mind to turn on overdrive as he continued to talk. "I\'m sure I\'ve already mentioned this to you before, but I\'ve decided to stay in a village for the meantime."

"Of course, the reason behind that choice was due to the Players Scho\'doxa mentioned during the tournament."

"While there, I came across a Player that looked to be quite talented in mana control." Saying these words, Valyr made sure not to show his nervousness on the outside. "However, no one took notice of it as many Players were appearing in the village every day."

"No one… except for me."

With that as his basis, Valyr continued to expand on the excuse he came up with, talking about how there wasn\'t much opportunity for the player\'s talents to shine due to the fact that the other players were hogging up all of the beasts that existed on the outskirts of the village.

At some point, he even began to believe in his own lie as well, allowing his expression to remain calm by the time he was done expounding.

"…And you\'re telling me all of this, why?" Then again, even though he was already done explaining, Mystia continued to look at him with a raised eyebrow. "I see no benefit in doing so whatsoever."

"Well, I thought about taking him under my wing," replied Valyr as he scratched his cheek. "I\'ll support him with the elixirs you\'ll give me so that his talents could fully shine. I\'m sure that, with enough time, he\'d become an exemplary mage."

"An exemplary mage that… might possibly become a part of the Mystic Plane in the future? A good idea, no?"

"…" In response to those words, Mystia remained silent before closing her eyes for a bit, pondering over all of the things Valyr told her as she thought about the right decision to make. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

In the end, she let out a long sigh as she looked back at him. "…As long as you swear under a mana oath that you\'ll spare no cost to make sure he becomes a part of the Mystic Plane, then I\'ll accede to your request."

Hearing those words, Valyr merely smiled.

"Deal."
